Virtual staffing has been increasingly in demand and continuously becoming a trend as the concept of flexible workforce has gained its limelight in the flourishing outsourcing business. Philippines, the growing home of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry, is an ideal option for virtual staffing for practical reasons. Staff are willing to negotiate business operating hours in preference with their working time zones; And second, gap in communication is less to be focused on since English is used as the second language.​




The benefits of virtual staffing.



The dynamic context of virtual staffing attracted both employers and employees considering the benefits it can offer. Both camps similarly can experience a list of top advantages.

For Employers:

  • Cost-Effective - Labor costs are comparatively cheaper if manpower is outsourced from Asian countries. Also, items such as infrastructure, office supplies, furniture, electricity, and other administrative costs are also reduced, if not totally abolished.
  • Access to Global Talent - Multi-talented, skilled individuals can be outsourced outside from your geographical borders. Do not restrict recruitment within your own city or local area because you are limiting the opportunity of availing pool of quality talent.

  • Technologically-Connected - Working remotely means you are utilizing all the tools and software available online as means of communication between your employer and clients. You are making business, at the same time adapting the rapid evolution of technology.
  • Work-Life Balance - Since remote employees are in full control of their own time management, they can be engaged with other priorities aside from work. This increase level of happiness, motivation and self-fulfillment.

The idea of virtual staffing is a win-win scenario for two camps---the employer and the employees. While many have thought that it has greater benefits for employers, the above list of advantages mirrors the equivalent employees’ takings. Both camps have mutual benefits to enjoy. With the emerging business approach because of technology advancement, investing in virtual staffing is a fundamental and empirical gesture to compete in the changing market world.
