Ghostwriting
It's difficult to imagine that an image, or even a few words, could significantly impact your business. That's why businesses hire someone to write status updates for their brand's social media pages–it can make a huge difference in the reach and engagement of potential customers and strengthen a brand's authority.

There are plenty of benefits to ghostwriting social media content. When you ARE assigned the task of writing social media posts for a client, you can get more done by following some time-proven methods. These tips will allow you to create more meaningful and thoughtful statuses without having to worry about being too casual or unprofessional. To make your ghostwritten social media statuses more than just a good idea, in theory, there are some ways to ensure they are worth your time and effort.

Begin with social media strategy
Any company that hopes to have an impact on social media needs a clear strategy. This means clearly understanding the target audience, what kind of content they would like to consume and how frequently they want to see it. By asking your client for engagement data from each platform, you can create content that appeals to them. But be sure they also monitor social activity and regularly engage with their audience. In order to do this, you should communicate with the company's social media manager or social media expert.

Draft engaging content
Online communication is essential to running a successful business in today's technological world. In addition, they need to double-check what they post online and think about how each status update can help or hinder their brand. To cope, it's important to find a ghostwriter who understands social media and how to produce interesting posts. You can use the following ghostwriting strategies on your social media:

Facebook page or group
Facebook posts should be intriguing, easy to share and easy to learn from. Just as you would write content on behalf of any other client, you take on the persona of the brand when ghostwriting. When your content aligns with your company's voice, it will take less time to create it. When completing an entire month's worth of posts, consider the following:
  • If you want your Facebook campaign to be effective, post different things on it. Use images, infographics, informative text, gifs, memes, videos and links.
In general, shorter posts perform better than longer ones, with posts around 40-80 characters being the most popular.
  • If you ask people for feedback, they are more likely to get involved.
Your Facebook followers might like to engage with you, but only if they don't feel they are constantly being sold to, so don't make all your posts advertise your brand. Stick to niche-related topics though. The occasional holiday related and/or motivational quote is acceptable.
  • You can use images to make content more skimmable when readers don't want to spend a lot of time on it. No matter the text post you want to post, it will make Facebook's algorithm easier to understand if you turn it into a graphic.

Twitter business profile
Social media posts are only as good as the content they contain. When a post doesn't have anything to say, it won't be remembered easily. Use succinct, easy-to-understand words when writing social media content or tweets. The following tips will help you:
  • You should begin a tweet with the most important information to grab the reader's attention on Twitter.
  • According to internet stats, people like tweets that are longer than 240 characters, so if you want to get the same information across in more than 280 characters, you may need to create additional information in the comments.
  • Free online tools, like Bitly, shorten links for a social media-savvy web user.

Instagram for business
Content is the key to a great Instagram post. How can you write something compelling if you don't have the time? Visual content is the primary focus of Instagram. You must also use your words to create an interactive experience with your content. These are some tips that may help:
  • Use Instagram's 2,200 character limit to tell your readers what your content is about. Although only 125 characters will appear beneath your photo–use it wisely, please make sure that you capture your audience's attention with an interesting photo.
  • The use of emojis on Instagram has proven to be extremely effective.
You are allowed to use up to 30 hashtags, but don't just use trending hashtags. Combining popular hashtags as well as more niche hashtags with some brand-specific ones should result in higher visibility.
  • On Instagram, long paragraphs should be broken up. Since large blocks of text can be hard to read, it's worth taking the extra step.

LinkedIn company page
LinkedIn is an online network in which business professionals and companies share industry news, updates and other important details. This company-oriented platform is used to spread industry-rich content and encourage job-seekers to search for opportunities galore. The key to any success with a LinkedIn presence is good content. Here are a few quick ways to make a client's presence great on LinkedIn:
  • LinkedIn is a good place to publish long-form articles and blog posts. To best connect with your audience, you will have to invest more time and proceed with your message slowly. Stay organized and professional at all times.
  • Label your posts with hashtags for exposure. You can put hashtags on your LinkedIn post, but you should include them near the bottom instead of scattering them throughout the text.
  • Professionals usually share industry trends, studies, and data graphics. Always keep your branding on any content you share, to ensure people know the source of the shared material.

Pinterest business
In many ways, Pinterest is more about the image than the text, but the right description can make all the difference! Like Facebook or Twitter, you should use Pinterest to post a reflection of the images rather than describe them. By searching for Pinterest pins related to your topic, you can get inspiration. Other great tips include:
  • Your description should be detailed and include relevant keywords. Posts can have up to 500 characters, but don't go overboard.
  • Tone your writing as though you are a professional–Pinterest readers dislike jargon and abbreviations. Don't forget to properly spell and capitalize words, as well as avoid colloquial language. Unlike what some may think, it's not a site just for teenagers looking for satisfying visual graphics.
  • While you don't have to use hashtags, they're very useful. Although now it's possible to search for hashtags and have them appear in chronological order, Pinterest is still largely driven by keywords, not hashtags, so hashtags won't appear in results containing keywords. The use of hashtags doesn't really hurt your rankings since they are also keywords.

TikTok brand profile
TikTok is a social media app that gives users the chance to shoot and share short video clips. All types of content can take center stage in these videos, which can last anywhere from 15 seconds to three minutes. Discover high-quality content ideas to get in on the action:
  • Use portrait mode with audio for maximum viewers.
  • Less is more. Keep your videos to 30-45 seconds.
  • Daily routine videos provide valuable insight for viewers about how your business operates.
  • Avoid stagnant backgrounds. Viewers often find this practice annoying and uninteresting.
  • Quality content that reflects the brand's or company's values performs best on these types of social media.
  • The popularity of TikTok allows you to disseminate information to your followers on topics related to your industry or topic.
  • Post often and balance entertainment with promotion. Always include a call to action.
  • You can create excitement by running product campaigns on TikTok.
    Be genuine.

Moving forward with confidence
When it comes to ghostwriting for social media, there's no shame in admitting that you need help. Think of this task as micro writing. Create engaging posts that will reach new audiences and increase engagement as a ghostwriter! Turn your ideas into engaging posts to reach new audiences while ghostwriting for brands. Are you ready to create some social media content updates for a brand that resonates with viewers and brings your client peace of mind? Go for it!
