Did you ever feel the urge to view your Twitter stream in a way that mimicked the opening crawl from Star Wars? You know the stuff that scrolls up the screen after, “A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away?†​ Well, now you can.
George Lucas’s latest attempt to wow fans (or further alienate them, depending on how you look at it), Kinect Star Wars, recently came out with an iPhone app guaranteed to have you geeking out.
​ If you’re not familiar with the game, Kinect Star Wars “allows fans to physically hone their Jedi skills with the controller-free power of Kinect for Xbox 360.†
It also allows fans to dance.

The app, available for iOS, Android, or Windows is free – and fun. It let’s you view your Twitter and Facebook feeds in classic Star Wars“opening crawl’ style, allowing you to “take a piece of the Kinect Star Wars universe with you on the move.â€
Or you can just view it in plain old Twitter stream style with the Star Wars background.
AND you’ll also receive “exclusive†messages from R2-D2 and C-3PO. Spoiler alert! Here are a couple of the messages:
“We were the Droids they were looking for – lol!†R2-D2 “I am fluent in over 6 million forms of communication but can anyone tell me what the phrase ‘lol’ means?†C3PO We wonder if R2D2 and C3PO will eventually have their own Twitter accounts? (We know there are many imposters out there, we’re talking about something official.) In the meantime, this Twitter app will have to do.
