How to Filter Your Facebook Feed When A Celebrity Dies

If you've opened Facebook in the past hour, you know that Robin Williams died. It's very sad of course - as ANY death is, but if you're a bitter human like me and don't want to see the 15 thousand posts about him this week, there's a way to filter them.

And no, it doesn't make you a bad person to do so:
If you haven't heard of the free Facebook add-on Social Fixer and have any hope of seeing status updates that aren't "RIP Robin" this week (or whichever celebrity applies when you read this), you need to hop on that bandwagon NOW.

And once you have it installed (go through and accept the basic, suggested installation for now), go to "edit Social Fixer options:"

Then select "filtering" and under "Other" type the celebrity name and then decide how you want to sort it. As you can see, I designated a separate tab so I can still see the posts, if I want - or can entirely ignore them.

Oh and this is how it looks by the way. You're welcome.
