Yes, you should know what your child is up to on social media. No, I don't advocate being “friends” with them to do so and I’m going to offer 10 reasons WHY.

If you can’t figure out alternative ways to keep tabs on your child online, ways that DON’T involve being that Mom who sits with her teenager at lunch in the cafeteria, you haven’t really tried. I’ll share another post soon detailing some of these ways, but for now – read the many reasons why you shouldn’t be friends with your child on Facebook. And then leave nasty comments like everyone else!
