4 Ways To Fast Forward Your Marketing With Hyperlapse

Instagram’s new video app Hyperlapse allows you to create smooth, professional time-lapse videos using nothing but your iPhone. While you can create time-lapse videos like this one using Vine, Hyperlapse is the first of its kind to feature in-built stabilization for seamless transition between frames — and it’s already being used by big brands. Here’s how you could be using it, too:
1. A day in the life

Well, technically twelve minutes, but the concept is pretty much the same. Hyperlapse speeds up video by up to 12 times, which means you could create, say, a twelve-minute video (something you'd never post otherwise) and squeeze the footage into an online-friendly one-minute clip. Musicians could do a time-lapse recording of a meet-and-greet session, or create a video of the band signing CDs to promote a giveaway or competition.

2. Montages and service sneak-peaks

When your business offers services rather than products, photos might not do it justice. In addition to sharing before-and-after pictures, hair stylists, artists, and even house-cleaning services could use Hyperlapse to show exactly how much skill goes into their work. It can often be difficult to appreciate the effort that goes into a finished product, and Hyperlapse would be a great way to show that.

3. Behind the scenes

Want to show what’s been going on at HQ, without giving away any top-secret information? Speed it up! By using a Hyperlapse video, you can show just enough to tease, and leave your audience wanting more. Use this before your next product launch to build anticipation and create some mystery.

4. Product 360

Mercedes-Benz has already taken Hyperlapse for a test-drive, showing off this CLA250 (or "car", if that means nothing to you either.) Whatever your product, you could do the same:
So, what doesn't Hyperlapse do? Allow for editing, unfortunately. For that, you'd have better luck using Vine.

Android users will have to be patient, as the app is currently only available for iOS — but the Android version will be available "soon", apparently.
